surveillance security cameras

If you are having a surveillance camera, then you would want to access the camera remotely anywhere and anytime. As Surveillance and Security is really needed to have a proper protection of your place even if you are out. For getting an access to this, it is really important for you to have a higher access to internet at both the end. If suppose you are having a DSL or cable internet connection, then your ISP will assign you with an internet connection with static or dynamic IP address. Let us see what exactly is the difference in these two and how does it changes the surveillance system and the installation when you access remotely.
Let’s see what is Static IP Address and a Dynamic IP address:

Static IP address: This Static IP address is used at the time your ISP gives your DSL or your cable with the same IP address anytime you connect it to the IS.

Dynamic IP address: Your ISP can change your IP address, when you use Dynamic IP address.

No matters, if you are installing security cameras for your business or home, your surveillance system must include the dvr cards so that you can record the video into a hard drive. Including this, it is also important for you to have a networkable DVR so that you can know whether you have a static or dynamic IP address. If you have proper network functionality with your hybrid dvr or the dvr then it will allow you to have an easy access on the remote connection to your dvr using the internet. This will help you in controlling the anywhere anytime. Having a remote access means, you have your place more secure.
For those, who have Static IP address at their place by the DVR then it is easy to connect the surveillance system remotely by using the same IP address. For a dynamic IP address it is a bit complicated and it is because you are not aware about when your IP address is going to change and your IP address is changed by your ISP. Therefore you need to subscribe to your DNS server to know your current IP address. You can create a host name, when you register with the DDNS service and this host name is similar to the domain name. After that you will associate the host name with your IP address or else you can also do this by using such a router that supports DDNS.
This is how you can access your surveillance system remotely with Static IP and Dynamic IP address.
